Rescue Dog Coco Wants a Forever Home

Rescue dog Coco Puff, the pit bull mix, makes a hot dog.  We couldn’t resist sharing her picture and story which was originally highlighted by LifewithDogs.tv:

Chicago “Court Case” Dog’s Search for a Forever Home ContinuesLife was hard for Coco at the beginning. She was a young mother dog, trying to provide for her four puppies, while struggling to survive herself-a nearly impossible task!

She was found by Chicago Animal Control in deplorable conditions, living in a cage without food and water alongside her puppies, while standing in her own waste.

Through no fault of her own she became a “court case dog” when she and her four puppies were rescued from horrendous conditions by Chicago Animal Control in July 2012. The dogs were all taken to Alive Rescue no-kill shelter where the people there took good care them and soon found homes for  Coco’s pups.

Happy as the staff at Alive were to find homes for Coco’s pups they would love for her to have a home too as it will soon be the one year anniversary of her arriving at the rescue center.

Coco is currently in a foster home where she is doing great. She’s a sweet girl who loves to play with her foster siblings although she is not too fond of cats. She knows basic commands and will make some lucky person or family a great companion.  If you would like to meet Coco with a view to adopting her, then visit the Alive Rescue website where you can fill out an adoption application for her.
